Norwood Park provides a beautiful and tranquil setting for memorials and ceremonies in Bathurst, NSW. The landscaped grounds and established Memorial Gardens provide families somewhere to come to remember their loved ones. The Chapel is available for services Monday to Friday, and the gardens are open 7 days a week, including public holidays.

Norwood Park Crematorium

Bathurst Crematorium opened 5 August 2013 and facilities are:

• Onsite chapel with large windows looking out over the gardens
• Seating for over 100 people inside the chapel
• Air conditioning
• Fully integrated audio visual equipment
• Live Streaming of services for those unable to attend
• Various Memorial Gardens for placement of ashes – with bronze memorial plaques designed in-house
• Sandstone Niche Walls, fountain positions and natural rock memorials

Maranatha Lawn Cemetery

The lawn cemetery was established in 1977 within the grounds of the original Bathurst Monumental Cemetery. The lawn cemetery includes:

• Sections 1, 2 and 3 single depth graves
• Section 4 – double depth graves
• Section 5 – double depth graves
• Rose Gardens within Section 1, 2 and 3 for the placement of ashes
• Niche Walls for placement of ashes
• Birrallee Baby Section which has a gazebo in the centre, for parents to sit in a peaceful environment.

Many families choose to incorporate prepared media into services such as music and photos. Our Chapel is equipped with speakers and large screens to accommodate these requests. Please ask your Funeral Director, or call our office for more information on media requirements. We have a range of beautiful urns if you wish to keep your loved one close. Guests are welcome to visit our office, where we have examples of traditional and contemporary urns, and small keepsake items.
The office will be closed on weekends and public holidays only, however the grounds are open 7 days a week.
